Local Authority GHG Engagement Officer - Carbon Reduction, Energy and Sustainability  
           
The Local Authority GHG Engagement Officer will join the Carbon Reduction, Energy and Sustainability Customer Service Team at Nottingham City Council, playing a key role in Nottingham's ambition to become a Carbon Neutral City by 2028.   

                                                                                                              
This temporary position (fixed term for 9 months initially, with a funding application submitted to extend this) has a starting salary of £22,183 (level 1) rising to £23,541 (level 2) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period.

An opportunity has arisen to join the Carbon Reduction, Energy and Sustainability Customer Service Team on a fixed term 9 month contract. In this role, you will actively promote the Nottingham City Council Local Authority Green Homes Grant scheme, visiting people’s homes to promote the scheme (Following a Covid safe process for home visits), act as a first point of contact within Carbon Reduction, Energy and Sustainability, primarily for residents that are applying for Local Authority Green Homes Grant funded energy efficiency improvements, primarily via face to face canvassing activities, but also via telephone and other channels appropriate to the demand.
    
The role holder will facilitate meaningful customer engagement in the Green Homes Grant scheme, face to face and over the telephone. Deal with inbound enquiries from potential and existing Green Homes Grant scheme residents. This includes providing information about products and services available; booking appointments, complaint handling and resolving issues with services provided.           
  
Undertake a range of administrative duties to support the Customer Services team, Commercial, and Business development officers as and when required.        
  
You will be working in a fast paced environment where focus and attention to detail while under pressure are essential.          
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Customer Service Experience, face to face and over the telephone
  • Complaints Handling Experience
  • Sound knowledge of Domestic Energy Efficiency improvements for residential properties
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Adhere to General Data Protection Regulations
  • Strong administration skills
  • Good team player
  • A clean UK driving licence
Desirable:
  • Able to work under minimal supervision
  • Level 3 Energy Efficiency Advice qualification
