1 x 32hr Senior Home Care Assistant – Nights – working from 22.00 - 07.30. Permanent post.

Office Location: Frith House, County Hall, Glenfield, Leicestershire, LE3 8RL - although travel across the county will be required as part of the role. (Due to the role being county wide, a driving license and access to a vehicle is essential for this role).

The Community Response Service helps people return home from hospital, or prevents them from being admitted to hospital, and supports people to regain their independence by providing a short term service which helps them to become as independent as possible by giving them an opportunity, motivation and confidence to relearn or regain skills for daily living that have been lost as a result of illness, accident or disability.
The Senior Home Care Assistant post is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Community Response Team
Senior Home Care Assistants are responsible for undertaking first visits, including risk assessments, safe and well checks for people who are vulnerable and providing day to day support to Home Care Assistants.
As we are an expanding service, you will be part of something new and can help to steer the team towards transformation, while maintaining our high standard of care and making a real difference to the people and communities of Leicestershire.
Due to an expansion of the Community Response Service , we are looking for enthusiastic, caring, committed and reliable individuals to join our successful team
An NVQ 2 or Care Certificate is desirable but not essential as training can be provided to work towards this qualification.
If you are dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic and have the passion and reliability to support people, within their own homes, with compassion this role will be right up your street.
It is an important role in the day to day running of the service which operates 365 days of the year from 7am to 10pm with a rolling rota shift pattern which includes regular weekends, early and late days shifts and bank holidays.
Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, paid for by Leicestershire County Council.

Applicants will need to have had 2 or more doses of a Covid 19 vaccination
Applicants will be asked to demonstrate that they have received a complete course of Covid 19 vaccination (or exemption)
