Senior Technician (Drainage - Environmental & Preventative) Grade 10 Salary Range £28,704 - £32,241pa
A Senior Technician is required within the Environmental & Preventative Team, primarily dealing with the maintenance of highway drainage systems and assets. You will provide a high quality service and need the ability to solve problems, have excellent customer focus and ensure that services are delivered for the benefit of the people of Leicestershire.
The successful candidate will progress the delivery of drainage maintenance schemes from initial site investigations to on site delivery, along with other duties associated with managing highway infrastructure.
This is a varied and interesting role with opportunities to develop your career within Leicestershire County Council and learn new skills in highways maintenance.
Activities will include:
  • Schedule & organise packages of work for operational delivery for cyclical seasonal activities
  • To deal with all aspects of enforcement on privately owned watercourses.
  • Define requirements for sub-contractor engagement
  • Review performance outputs
  • Ongoing service review to inform continuous improvement programmes
  • Respond to customer enquiries including liaison with insurance regarding claims
  • Supervise external contractors ensuring compliance with specification and programmes
  • Support preparation and maintenance of highway and street lighting records and inventories
  • Undertake administration work relating to operational effectiveness as directed
  • Assist and understand the preparation and improvement of contract documentation
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of temporary traffic regulation order
