This is a newly created role where the successful applicant will work closely with the Trust’s Director of SEND and our Heads of Schools to deliver an Educational Psychology service to the children, young people and families of The Apollo Partnership Trust.
  
The position is suitable for candidates with a varying degree of experience; we welcome applications from those newly qualified in the field.
This role involves working across the three schools in our trust, supporting young people with an identification of Special Educational Needs and/or disabilities, to help us succeed in raising educational outcomes and ensuring full inclusion for all of our students.

This post is required to ensure a joined-up approach to supporting the needs of our SEN students and to enable them to achieve highly with us. All of our SEN students will have the right to a broad and balanced timetable, including extra-curricular activities where appropriate, and full access to the National Curriculum.
 
Key elements of the job role include:
  • Providing psychological advice and assessments supporting diagnosis, referrals to external agencies and interventions.
  • Development and direct implementation of provision for students with SEND.
  • Delivering evidence-based CPD sessions.
  • Delivering a responsive consultation service for children, young people and families across all three Academies within the Trust.
  • Working in partnership with other agencies to ensure effective service delivery for pupils with an identification of SEND.
  • Supporting the implementation of appropriate legislative frameworks for pupils with SEND.
  • Supporting the Trust to build capacity and effectively manage risk of identified pupils.
