(actual salary £15,874 - £16,191 per annum)

Start date:  as soon as possible.

As part of our continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, skilled and enthusiastic Behaviour Support Worker, who enjoys the challenges of working with young people, to join our pastoral team.

In this role you will be supporting the needs of those students who require particular help with behaviour management, in order to help them overcome barriers to learning and enable them to achieve their full potential during their time at the college.

The successful candidate will ideally have worked in an education or health and social care setting and have proven experience of managing the behaviour of students, to promote and maintain order and a calm working environment in which they can develop a love of learning.  Teamwork is also an essential aspect of this role and it is important that you possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work in partnership with a range of school professionals, parents/carers and outside agencies.

Actual working hours are 8.30 am – 4.00 pm Monday to Friday during term-time, plus one week to be worked over college closure periods.

Ibstock Community College is at the heart of the local community, serving families in Ibstock and the surrounding villages of North-West Leicestershire.  Having joined LiFE Multi Academy Trust in July 2021, we are at an exciting stage in our development with plans to expand from a Key Stage 3 (11-14) school to welcoming students from 11-16 from autumn 2022.

To apply for this position please download the attached application form and return to the school.
