This vacancy is an opportunity to work within the Learning for Independence curriculum of the Leicestershire Adult Learning Service as a Learning Support Assistant. The Learning for Independence curriculum delivers courses specifically for adults with learning disabilities and encompasses a wide range of topics including literacy, numeracy, independent living and preparation for work and volunteering.     
  
As a Learning Support Assistant you will be working under the guidance of the course Tutor to support learners to achieve their learning outcomes. The successful candidate will be working with diverse groups of learners in a vibrant and engaging learning environment.      
    
Adult Learning courses are delivered in a variety of venues around Leicestershire and the successful candidate(s) may be required to work in more than one location. In particular, we are looking for candidates who are able to work in one or more of the following areas: Coalville, Thurmaston, Market Harborough, Loughborough, Wigston and Enderby and Oadby. The advertised hours will be worked during 30 weeks of the year to follow our academic/teaching year.
