The Work Based Learning Team are seeking Trainer Assessors with primary subject specialism in either:
  • management, team leading and supervision.
  • payroll administration.

Experience of, or willingness to develop in other key delivery areas including HR, Customer Service, Teaching and Learning or Business Administration would be advantageous, but not essential. Qualifications and experience of teaching in a work environment or post compulsory education would be advantageous, as well as experience of peripatetic working and delivering training face to face and via technologies such as video conferencing and virtual learning platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and delivery of training to support apprentices and learners on work based learning educational programmes. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Undertake CPD to gain and update appropriate vocational knowledge of subjects and teaching and learning practice
  • Maintain compliance with regulations applicable to the role
  • Develop and maintain programme and individualised learning plans
  • Develop and update teaching and learning resources
  • Plan and deliver teaching sessions
  • Carry out formative and summative assessments
  • Maintain records and track progress of learners
  • Carry out reviews of learner progress
  • Give effective communication feedback to learners and employers
  • Prepare learners for summative assessment and examinations
  • Support apprenticeship portfolio development, preparation for gateway and end point assessment
  • Support managerial reporting
  • Contribute to curriculum development
  • Contribute to team and service requirements and work collaboratively

  • Assessor Awards D32/D33 or A1, TAQA
  • Relevant vocational subject qualification at level 3 or above
  • Willingness to complete formal teaching training qualifications within an agreed timeframe
  • Substantial relevant & recent occupational experience
