Nottingham City Council is looking to recruit qualfiied Swimming Instructors (Swim England Level 2, STA Award in Teaching Swimming or equivalent) to join our pool of casual staff to support in the delivery of the Nottingham Swim School programme that is delivered at six City Council leisure centres across the City. 
Nottingham Swim School mainly takes place Monday - Friday 4-6.30pm and weekends 8am-1pm. Cover hours could vary each week.
Nottingham City Council operates competitive rates of pay starting at £12.72 per hour. We can also offer a range of ongoing training courses linked to the role including the NRASTC course (National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches) and free uniform.

As a Swimming Instructor you will be responsible for:
* Producing appropriate session plans, schemes of work and ensuring swimming lessons are fun, progressive, inclusive, motivating and meet the level of ability being taught.
* Deliver high quality swimming lessons to a wide range of ages and abilities following the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework and awards scheme.
* Carry out regular assessments of the participants against the set class criteria using the iPods provided.
* Swimming Teacher qualification (Swim England Level 2, The STA Award in Teaching Swimming or equivalent)
* National Pool Lifeguard qualification or the National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (or willingness to complete) 
* Experience of organising, leading and promoting sporting activities.
* Knoweldge of the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework and awards scheme.
