Business Officer - Nottingham City Libraries

The starting salary is £19,264 (Level One) rising to £19,650 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).


We are looking to recruit a Business Officer to Nottingham City Libraries. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a Business Team delivering high quality administration and finance support for the library service.

You will be required to undertake a wide range of duties including processing financial orders and payments, responding to both internal and external customer enquiries and assisting in supporting the delivery of accurate management information, communications and performance management activities.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Experience of planning and organising own workload, be able to work to deadlines with minimal supervision and to work flexibly to quickly respond to changing priorities.

  • Experience of working with a variety of IT systems and applications, including the use of Microsoft packages, ideally in an office environment.
  • Have excellent customer service and communication skills with a commitment to a quality customer focused service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people using a variety of methods including face to face, telephone, email and web video platforms.
  • Maintain and assist with the collection and development of performance management information.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
