As a member of Children and Family Services you will be required to ensure the development of high quality financial and administrative support. It is vital to the future of the department that the post holder is flexible in taking on additional tasks, willing to offer help to employees and treats co-operation and support for colleagues as a top priority.
• Recognised Academic Qualifications e.g. 'GCSE', 'A' Levels, Vocational Quals, Professional/Further Education Quals in relevant area.
• NVQ 3 or equivalent in relevant area or equivalent level of relevant experience.
• Training in the use of ICT applications – Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Access etc.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.
• AAT Accounts (or equivalent).
• Previous experience of collection and collation of data, performing calculations and writing reports.
• Experience of working to strict timescales and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to engage, motivate and direct the efforts of others towards agreed C&FS objectives.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data/information and present it effectively.
• Experience of financial administration and budgets, including monitoring and control.
• Knowledge of databases, ICT and e-government.
• Good understanding of Oracle and I-Proc.
• Good numeracy skills sufficient to maintain financial records.
• Good people skills and telephone manner.
• Ability to work on own initiative and to take personal responsibility for seeing through issues.
• Flexible team player and a genuine desire to improve levels of service.
