Employability and Digital Skill Tutor -   Salary: £22,185 Grade 8 FTE - Sessional hourly rate £27.73/hr  Due to the retirement of the current post holder the Employability and Digital Skills curriculum of the GoLearn!  
Leicestershire Adult Learning Service is looking for an inspiring and enthusiastic tutor.

The post includes preparation delivery and assessment on both Employability and Digital Skills. Employability skills covers a range of courses including job applications, CV writing and Interview skills. Digital Skills covers a range of introductory short courses through to accredited qualifications at Level 2 including ESDQ, ITQ; website development and Photoshop.  Tutors may also deliver bespoke courses in partnership with other organisations.

As a progressive curriculum we are always adding to our portfolio of courses and qualifications. It is essential that tutors are responsive to new developments within the curriculum.

These are popular courses and are delivered in a variety of venues including libraries:, GoLearn Adult Learning Centres and community venues.   We have courses planned for Autumn, Spring and Summer terms 21/22.  Applicants will need to be able to deliver sessions in a classroom environment and have access to transport.    Candidates invited for interview will be asked to provide a face to face micro teach session.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: A recognised current qualification in Digital Skills at Level 3 or above.

A recognised teaching qualification equivalent to L3.Recent experience of working with adult learners.

Ability to use relevant teaching and assessment materials and techniques to support learning, including the use of e-learning technology

Must have Level 2 maths and English or equivalent skills

Knowledge of the Professional Teaching and Learning Standards and their application, to deliver outstanding teaching and learning

Must be flexible to travel to different centres during the daytime or in the evening as required

Awareness of health and safety and equality and diversity issues.
