To improve the outcomes and life chances of children, young people and their families by:
  • Implementing the recruitment strategy for the Family Placement Service delivering an increased number of adopters through a targeted approach within relevant networks and localities.
With primary focus on the following deliverables:
  • To respond to enquiries from the public regarding adoption, providing an excellent and timely standard of service.
  • To generate engagement from the public regarding adoption, using social media platforms etc.
  • To provide a customer focused service to enquirers in line with statutory guidelines and locally set business rules.
  • To support and facilitate events, including virtual, office based and community based to appeal to specified geographical areas.
  • To generate further interest from and retain contact with prospective enquirers.
  • Undertake regular analysis and insight activity into enquiry generation in order to inform recruitment and retention strategies for the Family Placement Service. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • The ability to communicate effectively, verbally, in writing, within meetings and effectively engaging service users.
  • Knowledge of online community facilitation tools and application of social media tools to build networks and communicate in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team. 
  • Experience of developing creative and informative material that is effective 
  • The ability to work with internal stakeholders and external partners and bodies.
  • Experience of working with and engaging a wide range of community groups and organisations. 
  • A good use of I.T. to fulfil the job role, including social media platforms. 
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential issues. 
  • Follow relevant health and safety policies, procedures and legislation 
  • Must be able to perform all duties and tasks with reasonable adjustment, where appropriate, in accordance with the provisions of the Equality Act 2010. 
  • Willing to work outside normal hours, work very flexibly and across the county in a variety of locations as and when required. 
  • Full driving licence and car owner.
