The starting salary is £29,577 rising to £31,346 on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time)

Nottingham City Council is looking to recruit for the position of ASB and Housing Enforcement Officer, a unique and innovative role where you will deal with ASB for licensed properties in the city.  There will be a range of anti-social behavior and environmental crimes to deal with.  Your work will make a difference to resident's lives and the wider community.  You will need to build strong links within the communities and our partner agencies and to deal with these issues that matter most to residents at a frontline level.
   
The role offers a flexible working pattern which includes remote working.  Nottingham City Council is dedicated to reducing Anti-social behavior and environmental crime for all who work, live and visit Nottingham.  The role of ASB Housing and Enforcement Officer is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking for a challenge and to make a difference to their community.
   
As an ASB and Housing Enforcement Officer you will be responsible for the following (Please not this is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities)
 
Maintaining detailed working knowledge of legislation regarding anti-social behavior, noise, environmental crime, housing and waste management including interpretation and application of legislation.
  
Investigating and enforcing of both criminal and civil matters.
 
Managing your work load be setting your own priorities and working under pressure to achieve deadlines.
  
Delivering a range of services for vulnerable victims, witnesses and perpetrators of anti-social behaviour and environmental crime.
 
Visiting and inspect both properties and land in relation to a variety of community issues.
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
  • Detailed working knowledge of legislation regarding anti social behavior, environmental crime and housing.  Including interpretation of application of legislation.
  • Experience of carrying out enforcement activities relating to both criminal and civil proceedings.
  • Experience of liaising and providing the highest levels of professionalism across multi-agency partnership.
  • Must be able to visit and inspect both properties and land in relation to a variety of community safety issues.
