Do you live in Leicestershire? Are you interested in a career in care?

Working hours are flexible, service dependent and the salary ranges from £282.80 - £1,115.40 per week.
Shared Lives is a Social Care service within Leicestershire County Council which looks to match carers to clients.
Our clients are adults from the age of 18, with learning disabilities, mental health, autism and Asperger’s, physical disabilities, sensory impairment or who are living with dementia, older people or who have lifelong disabilities and who need support in a homely environment.
Previous experience is not always necessary as each Shared Lives carer brings their own unique skills and experience to the job. We ask that you have life experience, a desire to help people and a commitment and positive approach to supporting vulnerable adults.
We are looking for Shared Lives Carers who have a spare bedroom to support adults by offering long term placements – where the person lives with you and your family. As a Shared Lives Carer, you will also provide personal care support, meals, support with accessing activities and include the client in your own family events.
In return you will receive excellent pay (pay is dependent on the needs of the client), generous tax breaks, access to Blue Light and Wider Wallet Discount Schemes, paid respite breaks, training and 24-hour support from professionals, Shared Lives Plus membership details and the support of other Shared Lives Carers in Leicestershire.
If you want to find out more about our service or have an informal discussion, please contact or telephone 0116 305 8133 / 07734 860 205 / 07730 582 441.
The role will be subject to a DBS (Disclosure & Barring service) check.
All Shared Lives Carers are classed as self-employed.
We are also looking for Short Breaks and Day Service Carers, see our other vacancies
