JOB PURPOSE:
• To support and implement the service training plan for the childcare sector
• Prepare termly documentation to support the strategic workforce plans developed by managers
• To analyse and produce relevant up to date information to support effectiveness of existing training
• To support the co-ordination of commissioning external and internal training providers ensuring effective contract management
• To reconcile and co-ordinate payments of the Workforce Improvement delegated budgets
• To ensure that information relating to training and development, made available online by the Early Learning and Childcare Service, is accurate and up to date
     
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• GCSE or equivalent grade A* - C in English and Maths
• Knowledge of information management and reporting systems relevant to the service
• Experience of undertaking analysis and making appropriate recommendations
• Experience of ICT including use of all Microsoft Office applications
• Experience of working in a front-line service dealing with the public and giving information
• Experience of presenting information in different formats
• Experience of writing letters and reports
• Experience of collaborative working with external agencies
• Experience of inputting, maintaining and interrogation of database information
• Knowledge and understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the requirements of the Data Protection Act and GDPR
• Knowledge of/commitment to equality of opportunity in employment practice
• Knowledge of local authority procedures
• Interpret data to inform service delivery for training purposes
• An understanding and ability to promote the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to work the Leicestershire Pound
