JOB PURPOSE:

To support and facilitate the work of volunteers across a locality. To support volunteers to work with children, young people and families who are at risk of poor outcomes and in need of additional support. To assist, promote and enable parent participation in the Children and Families Wellbeing Service.
  
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Good standard of education
  • NNEB/NVQ3 or equivalent in Childcare, Youth & Community, Health & Social Care, IAG, Community Regeneration
  • Significant experience of working with volunteers
  • Experience of inter-agency work
  • Experience in delivering training
  • Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the child
  • Understanding the risk and protective factors including the principles of effective practice
  • Ability to work as part of a team and in a multi-agency context, including the ability to operate in a variety of different settings with both clients and professionals
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including presenting information to professional partners, good recording, administrative and report writing skills
