The starting salary is £21,589 (level 1) rising to £22,911 (level 2) on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time)

This is a brand new role at Newstead Abbey, being part of a team helping to achieve our ambitions around visitor experiences and income generation. We are looking for a creative, commercially aware and enthusiastic person who enjoys delivering exceptional visitor experiences.
     
You should have experience in organising events, developing new commercial business operations and leading visitor experiences, that reflect the spirit of our sites. You will actively participate in all front of house roles. Weekend, evening and school holiday working is essential.
   
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
• Strong knowledge of visitor management, leisure, tourism and heritage sectors.
• Working in a high pressure, fast passed management role in a visitor facing or retail management environment, covering long opening hours
• Can demonstrate a creative and innovative approach in a working environment. Experience of leading a team of employees and volunteers, leading by example.
• Internet and digital social media awareness.
• Ability to organise and set-up successful events and activities, including functions.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and school holidays.
• Good financial awareness
