The Highways Development Management team at Leicestershire County Council are seeking 2 Transportation Engineers (1 x FTE and 1 x Part Time (0.6 FTE) to join the team whose responsibility it is to coordinate responses on behalf of the Highway Authority to over 2700 planning applications received from local and County Planning Authorities per annum. You will be an excellent communicator, and be able to work flexibly to accommodate evolving circumstances.
  • HNC/HND/NVQ4 in relevant qualification e.g. Civil Engineering or Transportation; or,
  • Equivalent demonstrable work experience of highways development management or another relevant work area;
  • Excellent communicator and presenter with the ability to negogiate, shape and influence outcomes;
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills to assess transport data and trends;
  • Creator of open and transparent relationships built upon trust;
  • Creative thinker and effective negogiator; and,
  • Be able to work to tight timescales and to agreed targets.
