The Highways Development Management team are seeking a Development Management Technician to provide technical  administrative support to the process of providing responses to over 2700 planning applications per annum on behalf of the Highway Authority received from Local and County Planning Authorities. 
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and a flexible worker with the ability to adapt to evolving circumstances.

•  GCSE English Language and Mathematics Grade A-C or equivalent; or
•  Demonstrable experience working in an office environment, using MS Office to produce reports and manage workload.
•  Ability to read and interpret maps;
•  Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate information recording;
•  Ability to search and interrogate systems to extract information and produce reports;
•  Excellent communicator and interpersonal skills;
•  Ability to problem solve and identify new efficient ways of working;
•  Able to work to tight  and agreed timescales;
•  Be a self starter to manage own workload.
