Salary Range: £21,591 - £31,377 (Grade 8 – 10)
 
As a Technical Specialist in the I&T (Applications Management) team, you will work with a team of IT professionals supporting a range of business applications and technologies, with a focus on 1st/2nd line application support and system maintenance, you will assist in the management and resolution of incidents, and resolve a range of calls, including development requests, system configuration and the provision of management reporting.
 
You will work closely with the Senior Technical Specialists to develop, maintain and support improvements in the planning and application of technical releases, and the development of products to support the digital agenda such as Remote assessment tools, online assessments, and the ongoing development of Customer portals. You will also act as an escalation point for complex support queries from the wider team. You will specifically work to mitigate single points of failure and promote best practice, customer communication and product knowledge.
 
The key business applications supported by the team include (but are not restricted to) Capita ONE, IAS (Protocol) Integrated Adult System and Mosaic Children's Social Care system, experience in any of these applications from a business use or technical perspective is helpful, though applications from those with transferable skills from similar high priority business applications are encouraged.
