This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional to join and help lead within our well established IT Technology Delivery team. The post holder will lead and line manage one of the Infrastructure teams that operates within the Technology Delivery area and work alongside other team leaders within IT Operations.
 
The role requires an experienced IT Infrastructure leader / line manager who has budgetary knowledge, to assist in meeting the demands of the IT Service, help deliver an infrastructure to support the council's digital programme and introduce new skillsets into the team to enhance our integration with cloud services. Ensuring the council operates a reliable and resilient IT infrastructure to support the organisation and its objectives is key, therefore we are looking for individuals with plenty of drive & energy - not only to lead and motivate technical teams but to drive technical & cultural change as well as bring innovation.
 
The advertised role is a full-time post working 37 hours per week with the occasional need to work outside of usual 9-5 business hours.
 
You will:

• Come with a sound technical and IT management background and be willing to learn and keep on top of new IT innovations.

• Play a key part in providing a resilient, robust and secure high performance IT infrastructure.
• Confidently communicate with senior leaders, team managers, other team leaders, service users (both internally and externally) as well as key suppliers and partners.
