The starting salary is £37,107 (level 1) rising to £39,002 (level 2) on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).

The Role....
An exciting opportunity to join our expanding Design Services team and make a real contribution to the growth and development of our Commercial & Operations Department.
     
You will play a key role in leading a multi-disciplinary team in the design, refurbishment and onsite delivery of projects across a wide ranging property portfolio.
         
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver a professional design and consultancy service; demonstrating technical competence and proficiency in all aspects of design, project management, contract administration and emerging construction related technologies and processes, within a commercially focussed environment.
Take lead responsibility for the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and achieving set project outcomes within a highly focused commercial environment.
Act as a main point of contact between the service area and clients, setting and managing expectations and facilitating clear and open lines of communication.
Provide project and team leadership, assisting in the establishment of an environment necessary to encourage the effective and efficient performance of all staff and, in particular, the team in the execution of their duties in achieving project outcomes.
Supporting team members in their roles under CDM 2015, as necessary.
      
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
• Degree or equivalent qualification within a related discipline. A high level of knowledge and experience across a range of specialist disciplines, including; Architecture/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering/Landscape Design/Asbestos and Fire regulatory requirements
• Experience in the successful delivery of construction related projects within a complex operating environment, including responsibilities for CDM and all Health and Safety issues.
• Experience in the application of project management techniques to enable monitoring and control of multiple programmes and projects.
• Experience of strategic business planning, finance and budgets - including fee management and monitoring, performance management, procurement procedures, construction contracts, tendering and commissioning processes.
• Positive leadership skills – with an ability to develop and manage high performing teams, and communicate and implement positive service change in a rapidly evolving environment.
• Experience in the development and effective implementation of quality management systems and good practice.
• Excellent communication – oral/written/numeric and computer skills, with an ability to skilfully negotiate in a range of circumstances. A high level of self-motivation.
• Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders and partners, including consultant management, to efficiently deliver a range of projects that successfully meet customer needs.
