Looking for something a little different, passionate about making a difference for young people? An opportunity has arisen in the Oakfield Team for a Teaching Assistant based at our new Oakfield Shepshed site. The job is working alongside teaching staff to support children with Social Emotional & Mental Health issues. This can be working in the classroom supporting groups of children, supporting individual children or working in schools throughout Leicestershire to support Oakfield children in mainstream or SEMH schools.
   
We are looking for:
• an effective Teaching Assistant who has a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
• an enthusiastic team member who will be joining a dynamic team
• a hard-working, sensitive, engaging and vibrant professional to work with our fantastic children
• someone who is passionate about children’s learning and has a sense of humour
      
The successful candidate will need to possess NVQ level 3 or above and GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English. The post will be initially working within our Key stage 2 team with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. Experience of working with pupils with SEMH and ASD is desirable.
