We are looking for a creative and ambitious teacher of humanities to join our small and friendly department, where your own expertise and enthusiasm will further enhance the successes of this high profile and high achieving faculty. 
As a teacher of humanities, specialising in history and/or religious studies, you will be dedicated to raising standards to ensure continued improvement in the quality of teaching and learning.  You should be passionate about raising student achievement and ensuring every student reaches their full potential by planning, delivering, monitoring, evaluating and developing appropriately inspiring broad and differentiated lessons.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, innovative and creative classroom practitioner with an in-depth subject knowledge, demonstrating the ability and aptitude to teach their subject to a very high standard.  You will be someone who believes they can make a difference to the lives of young people, not only gaining excellent results for our students, but also enthusing them about humanities.
Ibstock Community College is a unique, friendly and welcoming 11-14 mixed comprehensive with 540 on roll.  Our curriculum is based upon a holistic approach to preparing students for GCSE and A Level.  The college was judged to be good in our most recent Ofsted (December 2017).
We are currently in discussions about extending our age range to 16 and applications from candidates with a background in KS4 would be desirable.  Both NQTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.
