A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative, creative and strategically minded teacher, to join the Inclusive Education Service, Learning Support Team. This post is offered at MPS/UPS TLR2b.                             
               
As a Learning Support Team teacher, you will join a specialised and friendly team of SEND teachers and teaching assistants, to support schools in providing outstanding provision for SEND children and young people.  As a Learning Support Team teacher, you have the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge as well as bringing your own SEND experience to the role. You must be confident in the delivery of advice and training to schools around the learning needs of pupils with a range of SEND. You will use a range of assessment tools to inform planning and the practice of inclusion for SEND children and young people, with the intention of improving educational outcomes. You will have a solution focussed approach and good negotiation skills combined with the resilience and determination to secure the best possible provision and outcomes for students. You will be able to write and communicate clearly and be able to develop good working relationships with children and young people, their families and a range of other professionals.                       
    
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
• Must hold QTS/QTLS
• Must have a minimum of 5 years teaching experience
• Must have experience of teaching and support children and young people with Special Educational Needs
• Must have a proven track record of good/outstanding teaching
• Must have a committed to the promotion of inclusion and positive outcomes for children and young people with Special Educational Needs
