Two early years transition support worker posts; one full time and permanent working with early years autistic children and one full time and fixed term for one year working with early years special educational needs and disability (SEND) children. 

The starting salary is £24,657 (Grade F level 1). Please ensure you read our Terms and Conditions Information which includes advice on pay, annual leave and hours of working.

The role involves working directly with families and early years settings to support children with autism and/or SEND at times of transition, putting in place early interventions to ensure placements are maintained. You will also support settings to enable these children to access the curriculum. In addition, you will be working with other professionals to facilitate smooth transition for SEND children.


ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Appropriate qualification applicable to working with children with SEND
  • Knowledge of disability and special needs and provision for children
  • Understanding of principles and practice of working in partnership with parent
