We have exciting opportunities that have arisen to come and work for Smith Crescent Short Breaks service. The candidates that we are looking to recruit will be part of the journey to help shape our future service. Smith Crescent Short Breaks service provides accommodation for up to 6 service users with Learning Disabilities
 
The role of the Support Worker will be responsible to key work, plan, monitor, review and provide support packages for service users maintaining a high standard of support and care to people, ensuring their emotional, physical and social wellbeing needs are met promoting rights and independence. The support worker will promote an environment in which services users are encouraged to retain control over their own lives
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Effective Communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to Assist with Moving and Handling
  • Ability to work with people with complex needs
  • To be flexible and responsive to meet the changing needs of the service
