We currently have an exciting opportunity for a motivated public heath strategic lead to join Leicestershire County Council.  Public Health is one of six departments within the County Council, exercising the full range of public health duties, including the delivery and commissioning of services.  The Director of Public Health is a chief officer of the council, reporting directly to the Chief Executive. This position reports to a Consultant in Public Health and will be instrumental in translating data into insight and promoting a preventative approach through partnership work with the Leicester Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care System, working at system, place and neighbourhood.
We are looking for a suitably qualified, driven, individual with excellent technical/ analytical public health skills and experience of successfully leading, developing, and influencing strategic partnership work and strategies across organisational boundaries. This is a great opportunity to shape the local healthcare public health offer in a high performing team, and to ensure that public health plays a key role in the improvement of health and wellbeing outcomes for our local communities.
