The starting salary is £37,107 (Level One) rising to £39,002 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).

We are looking for an enthusiastic Solicitor/Barrister to join our busy Children and Adults Legal Team. We are centrally located in Nottingham City centre, close to the Family Court and within easy reach of all transport links.
You will provide legal advice and assistance to the Council in respect of Social Care matters. The work is extremely rewarding and varied. The majority of work will be care proceedings, but you will also have the opportunity to give legal advice in respect of the following areas: adoption, fostering, Court of Protection, mental health and general safeguarding children and adults matters.
You will have excellent communication, analytical and drafting skills and be able to manage a full and varied caseload and undertake advocacy in the Family Court.
Whilst recent experience of our work and also working for a local authority would be advantageous, we welcome applications from less experienced applicants who are keen to develop in our areas of work.
