An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Working Age Adult Disability team based at the Hinckley Hub as a social worker.  We are an established friendly team supporting people who are 18 – 65 years old with complex disabilities including learning disabilities, physical disabilities and ASD.
         
You will need to be able to work with minimum supervision and be able to use your initiative when faced with challenging situations.
             
Main Duties involve:
• Completing community care assessments under the Care Act 2014
• Mental Capacity assessments
• Safeguarding Adults
• MDT work  
           
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Qualified social worker
  • SWE Registered
  • Effective assessment and risk management delivery
  • prioritising work and meeting deadlines
  • Experience of working with those who access or need the service to identify issues and identify specific action
  • Knowledge of Relevant legislation including The Care Act , Mental Health Act , Mental Capacity Act
  • Knowledge of Social Care policy such as personalisation, asset based social work, preventative strategies and solutions

The post holder will be based at Hinckley Hub however due to the nature of the role you must have the ability to travel to other areas within the locality area. Currently due to the pandemic staff are working from home and regular updates will be given.
                
We currently have 2 full time equivalent social work posts available with the team (would consider part time and full time.)
The post holders will work Monday to Thursday 8.30 – 5pm and Friday 8.30 – 4.30pm.
