If so an exciting opportunity has arisen within the Working Age Adult Disability team based in Bassett Street, Wigston, as a social worker. We are an established friendly team supporting people who are 18 – 65 years old with a Learning Disability and/or Autism.  
The successful post holder will be based at Bassett Street, Wigston however due to the nature of the role you must have the ability to travel to other areas within the County and beyond. Currently due to the pandemic staff are working from home and regular updates will be given.  Due to this you will need to be able to use your initiative when faced with challenging situations.  Group supervision occurs regularly.     
Main Duties involve:
• Completing community care assessments under the Care Act 2014
• Mental Capacity assessments
• Safeguarding Adults
• MDT work  
  • Qualified social worker
  • SWE Registered
  • Effective assessment and risk management delivery
  • prioritising work and meeting deadlines
  • Experience of working with those who access or need the service to identify issues and identify specific action
  • Knowledge of Relevant legislation including The Care Act , Mental Health Act , Mental Capacity Act
  • Knowledge of Social Care policy such as personalisation, asset based social work, preventative strategies and solutions.
