Our social workers are committed, passionate and professional people who want to make a difference to the lives of the children and young people in Nottingham City. We are currently recruiting Social Workers to join our citywide Duty and Assessment Service. Joining one of our three friendly and supportive teams, you’ll be providing a social work service to a highly professional standard and most importantly keeping children and families at the heart ensuring that families receive the right support at the right time. To help you make a difference we offer manageable caseloads, high-quality professional support, guidance, and excellent training and development opportunities.
Main Duties:
  • To ensure the delivery of appropriate services to children and their families, according to their assessed needs. This will include assessing the needs of children and their families against the Departments agreed threshold criteria and in accordance with National Guidance with set timescales, the creation and implementation of culturally appropriate care plans that demonstrate flexibility and innovative use of resources.
  • With regular reflective supervision to undertake case management responsibilities that include child-focused assessments of need within a person centred approach, monitoring, coordinating and review of care plans.
  • To practice in accordance with the Social Work England professional standards for Social Workers.

  • Professional Social Work Qualification
  • HCPC Registered
  • Direct experience working with children in a child care setting
  • Possession of full driving licence and access to a vehicle
As a Level 2 Social Worker, you will receive a salary of £32,865, and as a Level 3 Social Worker, you will receive a salary of £35,828 (at both levels salaries are inclusive of a temporary market supplement).
