Are you an exceptional Social Worker looking for a new challenge? Or a newer practitioner looking to expand your experiences into more complex work?

We are looking for enthusiastic Social Workers to work in teams across the city; working with some of our most vulnerable adults in complex situations. You will be supporting people through some of those most challenging parts of their lives, and so determination and compassion are a must.

We are particularly looking for experienced practitioners, but are keen to hear from those newer to the profession as well.

Experienced Practitioners:
Starting salary £28,785 with the potential to earn up to £32,878 depending on PQ accreditation

You will have a strong understanding of, and good experience in, at least one of the following areas of work:
• Court of Protection and Deprivation of Liberties
• Planning and reviewing complex and extensive packages
• One or more specialist service areas such as Mental Health or Learning Disability
• Safeguarding

Along with this we’d like to hear about; your experience in the whole life cycle of a case from allocation through to commissioning, occasions you’ve managed situations of complex family dynamics, your understanding of appropriate escalation, and your experiences of court work or similar.

Newer Practitioner:
Starting salary £25,295
You will be enthusiastic about working with some of the most vulnerable citizens in our communities to support them in regaining, or developing, as much independence as possible. You will be eager to further your practice with challenging work, and seek out the development opportunities each case will bring. Through your work, or placements, so far you will have worked to deadlines, and with a range of citizens. You will be able to explain why you want to work within Nottingham City, and what your understanding of the challenges our citizens face are.

All Practitioners:
• You will be a qualified Social Worker holding BA (hons), MA or Dip SW.
• You will be flexible, understanding that we work across the city with citizens.
• We are recruiting to a range of posts within different teams, and offering fixed term contracts of up to 18 months initially.
