We have the following opportunities available for Social Workers, either with experience* or newly qualified:
  • 37h/week in Adult Duty (permanent)

  • 18.5h/week in Whole Life Disability South (permanent)
  • 37h/week in Supported Living / Mental Health (fixed term to 31/03/20)

  • 37h/week in Whole Life Disability North (fixed term to 31/03/20)

The starting salary is £25,295 (Level One) rising to £26,999 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers).
* Candidates could earn up to £32,878 depending on post qualifying accreditation.

Team Information
The Adult Duty team is a fast-paced environment, where Social Workers are right on the front line of supporting vulnerable citizens in crisis. The team deals with citizens who present in crisis and require a response from the Local Authority within a maximum of 28 days. Social Workers in Duty are expected to work the case until it is stable, at which point long term care plans can be implemented.  
Nottingham Supported Living Service is providing sustainable community housing with support opportunities for adults with Mental Health support needs. The team is supporting citizens to either move to supported living from their current residential accommodation, or to prevent them from having to be admitted into residential care. Working in this team will involve strength-based assessments of potential tenants, completing Capacity Assessments and (where required) leading on Best Interest decision making processes in compliance with The Mental Capacity Act 2005.
The Whole Life Disability Programme supports citizens with physical and learning disabilities from childhood right through to adulthood to ensure a smooth transition between services. The team works closely with Health colleagues to commission and support citizens in a range of services including community support, residential and hospital settings.

Essential Requirements
  1. CQSW / CSS / Dip SW, Degree Qualification and HCPC Registration;
  2. Knowledge and experience of relevant social care legislation and Government guidance;
  3. Commitment to person-centred practice, as well as knowledge of and commitment to self-directed support;
  4. Experience of carrying a full caseload and undertaking assessments of need with minimal supervision (L2 and L3)
