With the implementation of a new strategy Adult social care in Leicestershire is changing; our focus is  to promote, maintain and enhance people’s independence so that they are healthier, stronger, more resilient and less reliant on formal social care services. We are focused on working collaboratively with key partner organisations and providing a locality integrated service offer with GP practices and community health services.
 
We have invested in Lead Practitioners who are responsible for providing leadership to and support for social care workers to improve the quality of social care practice; working with management and alongside social care practitioners to identify opportunities to improve adult social care delivery.
 
We are highly ambitious and seek people with skills and experience in Adult Social care, Experienced support workers, qualified Social Workers, AMHPs and BIAs who share our drive and passion for delivering the highest quality assessment and support to service users, carers and families and will welcome the opportunity to work with a department that is investing in care pathway improvements and transformational developments.

The post will be based in the East of the County
 
Due to the increased staff requirement to fulfil the projects and service developments we have an opportunity for an additional Service Manager capacity to line manage Care Pathway services in the East Leicestershire Locality based at the South Wigston office for line managing the Working age adults Team with a focus on People with a Learning Disability .
 
The Service Manager in this post will have experience and skills to provide management and service development for staff across all service areas within Adult Social Care.  They will work alongside the management team in East Leicestershire Locality and report to a Head of Service.
