We know the best way to improve the lives of children and young people is to empower them and enable families to build networks of support which will sustain change. For families to be at their best we need our staff to be at their best.  We want our staff to have high standards and expectations for themselves and the children and families they work with. Saying this is easy, delivering it not always so easy but building on the progress and the investment we have made over the last three years we are committed to making a positive difference.
This role will be pivotal in our improvement journey and in strengthening the quality and depth of practice in Leicestershire. This is a wide ranging and stimulating portfolio with opportunity to positively affect both practice and staff wellbeing and development.
You will lead a well-established and highly committed ‘practice excellence’ team supporting managers and leaders across the department to be better than they believed they could be.
If you can engage, motivate, support and challenge senior leaders, managers and staff to be better and do it in a positive and constructive way – get in touch.
You need to be:
  • Be ambitious for children and families
  • Set yourself high standards
  • Have a strong and demonstrable interpersonal and engagement style
  • Be resilient and determined
  • Have a track record of delivering results – of getting the job done
  • Believe in signs of safety – trained to advanced level and modelling it daily
  • Be a social work leader who is passionate about growing good practice
  • Be confident in a highly visible role.
