Leicestershire strategy for Adult social care in Leicestershire has changing; our focus to promote, maintain and enhance people’s independence so that they are healthier, stronger, more resilient and less reliant on formal social care services. We are focused on working collaboratively with key partner organisations and providing a locality integrated service offer with GP practices and community health services.    
  
We have invested in Lead Practitioners who are responsible for providing leadership to and support for social care workers to improve the quality of social care practice;  working with management and alongside social care practitioners to identify opportunities to improve adult social care delivery.     
We are highly ambitious and seek people with skills and experience in Adult Social care, qualified Social Workers, AMHPs, BIAs & Service Managers who share our drive and passion for delivering the highest quality assessment and support to service users, carers and families and will welcome the opportunity to work with a department that is investing in care pathway improvements and transformational developments.

The post will be based at County Hall but deliver Countywide services.   
  
The Service Manager will be part of a management team that manages Leicestershire County Council's Deprivation of Liberty Service ensuring that our statutory responsibilities are met.     
   
This is an exciting time to be part of the DoLS Team, and the successful candidate will be working with the other Service Managers, senior managers and partner agencies to help shape the future service in light of the planned introduction of the Libery Protection Safeguards.
  
The Service Manager in this post will have experience and skills to provide management and service development for staff across all service areas within Adult Social Care.  They will work alongside the management team in East Leicestershire Locality and report to a Head of Service.
