Salary Range: £36,711 - £40,491
We are looking for someone with experience of planning, design and delivery of passenger transport services, working in a procurement or contract management environment and used to negotiating with external providers or agencies. You will also have experience of budget management, providing technical advice and reports on transport issues, and experience of developing, implementing and managing business processes.
The successful candidate must have excellent communication and presentation skills to a wide range of audiences, be able to engage with internal and external stakeholders and be able to build effective relationships. You must have experience of managing a team and the ability to lead and deliver sustainable, collective high performance through effective leadership, and a strong approach to performance management.
You must be assertive and not easily influenced, have good analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and be able to work to tight timescales and to agreed targets using your own initiative and effectively prioritising workloads.
You should also have good knowledge of current passenger transport legislation and policies and procedures relating to passenger transport.
To assist the Team Manager in the management and renewal of passenger transport service contracts including the delivery of public transport policy, providing guidance on operational and technical aspects of all passenger transport within the strategies and policies of the County Council and relevant legislation.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent (e.g. NVQ Level 5 / BTEC Advanced Professional Diploma) or equivalent experience in developing and implementing policy and service delivery.
  • Management Qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 4 in Mgt Studies, ILM Level 3 First Line Mgt) or equivalent experience.
