Senior Technical Specialist – 2 x Grade 12 posts
Salary Range: £35,727 to £39,405 - Grade 12
This is a great opportunity for an experienced IT professional to join our well-established Technology Delivery Group. The post holders will work alongside experienced IT Infrastructure professionals to assist in meeting the demands of the wider IT Service, as well as ensuring that Leicestershire County Council has a stable, reliable, resilient and secure IT infrastructure. We are looking for individuals with plenty of drive and energy to move forward our digital platforms and assist with the introduction of new and innovative technologies. The advertised roles are full-time posts working 37 hours per week with the occasional need to work outside of usual 9-5 business hours. Two vacancies are available, one in our Network Services team and one in our Desktop Services team.
You will:
  • Come with a sound technical background and you’ll also be willing to learn and keep on top of new innovations in technology.
  • Know how to communicate with service users both internally and externally as well as key suppliers and partners.
  • As well as having key technical knowledge and skills you will be able to co-ordinate, monitor and control high value outputs and modernisation into operational practice.
  • Take on new challenges and work within a high-performance team to deliver high quality outcomes.
