This is an exciting and innovative new post to help shape the recruitment, assessment and retention of foster carers for migrant children and young people across the East Midlands. The post holder will support the Team Manager in delivering a high-quality service and driving the recruitment of carers for migrant young people.
The project is an East Midland's initiative, with the post holder being employed by Leicestershire County Council. The post will be offered on a permanent basis with the successful candidate being initially assigned to the project for circa 16 months and then moving onto another senior practitioner post in another part of the service, following the project's end.
The authority is also willing to consider a secondment opportunity (from another local authority), based on a 16-month duration, subject to line manager's approval. There is a possibility of extending the project by a further 6 months.
This is a full-time post working 37 hours a week. A job share will be considered for the right candidates, including some flexibility on location/home working and hours of work. Applicants must also be in receipt of a full UK category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle that is insured for business/work purposes to travel throughout the region.
