Leicestershire County Council is seeking to recruit a Senior Environment & Waste Management Officer (Projects), to be based within the Environment and Waste Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and commissioning of a range of capital and non-capital projects, including the preparation, analysis and interpretation of business data and information. They will provide project oversight, manage stakeholders, and be responsible for reporting progress.
 
The successful candidate will be proficient in a structured project management methodology (i.e. PRINCE2 or equivalent), and have excellent communication and organisational skills.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Relevant Degree (or equivalent qualification); or Equivalent experience in management and delivery of projects.
• Successful management and delivery of environmental or waste projects using a structured methodology, i.e. PRINCE2 or equivalent.
• Successful negotiation and facilitation with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Be able to manage conflicting priorities whilst working to tight timescales to achieve agreed targets.
