Senior Business Support Manager (Administration)

Leicestershire Adult Learning Service (LALS) invites applications to the post of Senior Business Support Manager. The successful applicant will be committed to delivering excellent standards in administration and business support services.  They will have excellent management skills to motivate teams and have a track record for innovative service development.     
   
Leicestershire Adult Learning Service, awarded (Grade 2 'Good') in February 2018, provides Community Learning and Adult Skills programmes for adults throughout Leicestershire.  Our vision is to improve lives through learning and we aim to do this by providing the very best standards of teaching and learning.   
   
High quality support services are essential throughout the learning journey and the Senior Business Support Manger will have responsibility for a large administration and front-or house team working in centres across the county.     
   
The successful candidate will be an accomplished manager. Their main role will be to liaise with senior programme managers to identify priorities and develop work programmes for business support teams and monitor performance within timescales.        
        
Some experience in an education setting would be an advantage given that within the remit of the role there is a responsibility to oversee the administration of exams.   
                
The post is based at County Hall in Glenfield and will involve travel to centres across the county.           
   
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Management or equivalent administration qualification e.g. ICSA, DMS or extensive relevant administrative experience
• Experience of managing budgets
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and procedures
• Excellent customer care practice
