This role supports access to learning for students with Special Educational needs and disabilities.
The successful candidate will be proactive, motivated, team-focused, with a can-do attitude and excellent communication skills.
Experience of working in a classroom with young people aged 11 to 16 is essential, as is the understanding and experience of the range of Special Educational needs and disabilities.
Do you want to join us?  You will come to a school full of sparky, creative and intelligent students.  You will find a capable and experienced team of adults that support children’s learning and who are very proud that OFSTED rates our pastoral care as a strength of our schools. We have one non-negotiable: you must be passionate about the care, happiness and learning of the children you’ll work with. It is also vitally important that you bring a sense of humour.
Wigston Academies Trust is a Trust formed of two schools and a pre-school: Wigston Academy (11-16), Wigston College (16-19) and Tiger Tots led by one Headteacher and an Executive Headteacher based in the Leicestershire town of Wigston.  OFSTED rates the behaviour of our children, as well as our leadership and management, as good not just at the Academy but also at the College and in our pre-school too.
Come and have a look round – we’d love to meet you.
