Do you have the skills and experience in a housing related field and investigation, with or without alternative qualifications? Are you, self-motivated and enthusiastic with a keen desire to improve privately rented housing conditions for the people of Nottingham? As a Regulatory Compliance Officer you will be responsible for providing a premium Environmental Health enforcement and compliance service. Protecting public health and citizen safety improving poor housing and living conditions, preventing nuisance, tackling rogue landlords. Ensuring compliance and license conditions and promoting the provision of safe homes and neighbourhoods in Nottingham.
 
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Hold or be willing to work towards the Advanced Professional Certificate in Investigative Practice (APCIP) BTEC Level 7 or similar level Housing Construction BTEC.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, written and verbally. An ability to produce detailed and accurate letters, statements, reports, legal notices and case files.
  • An ability to visit and inspect buildings across the City.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to direct investigations resulting in prosecutions or other legal sanctions in accordance with relevant procedural and evidential rules.
