Humberstone Infant Academy, part of the Odyssey Educational Trust is seeking to appoint a versatile, motivated and positive minded school office receptionist.  The successful applicant will have experience of working in a busy office, preferably in a school environment.  
  
Duties include:
• Dealing with pupil, parent, staff and visitor enquiries by telephone or in person.  Promoting a professional image of the school.
• Operating standard office equipment such as photocopier.
• Opening and distribute incoming mail
• Undertaking word processing of documents (letters, reports, memos) etc.
• Providing support to the Admin Officer with Parent Mail as appropriate to the role.
• Assisting with the implementation of school administration polices and processes such as assisting the Admin Officer in maintaining the attendance records of the students. This could also involve checking documents for errors, resolving queries and inputting data on to school systems such as SIMS.
• Reporting on dinner numbers to kitchen each morning.
• Recording late children.
    
Experience of using word and excel and schools based software such as SIMS.Net, Parent Mail and CPOMs would be an advantage.
  
The successful candidate will be a proven team player, who can use their own initiative, demonstrate good communication and record keeping skills.
