This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Public Health Business Intelligence function of Leicestershire County Council.  We now have a permanent post for a Public Health Analyst to join our busy Strategic Business Intelligence team.
                         
Working as part of a larger Business Intelligence Service, liaising closely with colleagues in the Public Health Department, your work will help improve health and well-being and reduce health inequalities in the local population. 
             
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals, educated to degree level, with experience of using health-related data and information systems. Experienced in statistical and epidemiological methodologies, you will support, promote and develop the evidence base for public health activity across the council and its partner organisations.
        
As a Public Health Analyst your work will involve analysing a range of data to support the development of health needs assessment, identification of health inequalities and priorities for action. As part of a team, you will be involved in the dissemination and explanation of the analysis, turning it into meaningful timely health intelligence to improve services and outcomes.
     
We are seeking high performing and enthusiastic individuals who are able to build effective relationships with colleagues and partners. You will be highly numerate with data analysis, report writing, and project support skills, and have a good knowledge of Excel and ideally other packages such as Tableau.

Salary range: £27,936 to £31,377
