This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in working with children and young people who are experiencing lower level mental health difficulties.  Funded through the national CYP IAPT programme, this training post will provide you with the skills to deliver evidence based CBT type interventions.  During the early months you will be  mostly University based, but as your learning develops you will have a case load of children and young people needing support with issues such as anxiety, social phobia, depression, low level self-harm.  You will be part of a wider Early Help Service providing support to Leicestershire families, working alongside qualified Wellbeing Practitioners within the already established team.  Candidates must be able to travel to University of Northampton for study days on a regular basis.  You will need to be able to undertake additional study tasks, submit assignments on time, etc.  Four posts are available.
