The starting salary is £32,233 (Level One) rising to £34,106 (Level Two) on the first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period (pro rata for part time workers)

You will play a key role within the Places category team specialising in the Built Environment, so if you have a special interest in this sector then this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Daily activities include spend analysis, early development of specifications and sourcing plans and taking responsibility for the delivery for a pipeline of procurement projects inline with Public Procurement legislation.
  • A specific knowledge of local Government and EU Procurement Legislation.
  • Qualified in a recognised project management methodology or capable of demonstrating equivalent level of knowledge through experience.
  • Experience of completing end to end procurement activity across a number of services.
  • Experience / knowledge of procurement practice and how to apply it to achieve savings and a strong track record of success in delivering savings and benefits.
  • Experience of challenging established ways of working and managing change.
  • Proven track record of making important decisions relating to procurement decisions.
