Policy Officer (Communities)
Salary Range: £27, 936 - £31, 377
Two positions available.
We are seeking to recruit a Policy Officer to support the Communities Team at Leicestershire County Council. The post holder will have an understanding of policy development, relationship management and engagement and consultation activities.
You will support the teams in the development and delivery of key engagement and consultation activities, providing practical support and guidance to our service departments. You will also work closely with our communities to maintain and strengthen relationships, and support community led initiatives.
You will have experience of:
• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject, or equivalent level of relevant experience
• Providing support and advice to managers, boards, partnerships, businesses, communities and/or voluntary organisations
• Planning, developing, implementing, managing and evaluating projects and / or programmes
• Developing and delivering effective presentations and written communication to staff, partners and communities via multiple channels, including briefing notes, reports, newsletters, websites
You will have good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to develop effective relationships with both external and internal stakeholders including communities.
You will be self-motivated, highly organised, with a proven ability to plan, prioritise and work to deadlines.
