A physically disabled mother who suffers with other complex needs is seeking a female worker(s) who can undertake various duties (see job description below) to support mum and young child to have a good quality of family life.
Due to this being a family unit this would suit an experienced person who is confident, organised and fun. You will need a good knowledge of child development, ages and stages of a child’s needs, have a caring and warm personality and be reliable, with great time management and able to multi task. Due to mum’s complex conditions you will also need to be tidy, with keen attention to detail but also empathy.
Mum would like this to be a long-term permanent arrangement for the right person(s), who will ultimately become part of the family. This will be a busy but rewarding role, ideal for those who are nurturing and who relish responsibility. Due to this being job share, and working alongside mum, you will be a team player and great communicator.
The hours available will be 32 hrs per fortnight alternating weeks of -
WEEK 1 mornings 7.00 a.m. – 8.00 a.m. Monday to Friday and Sunday 11.30 a.m. – 7.00 p.m.
WEEK 2 evenings 4.30 p.m. – 7.00 p.m. Monday to Friday and Saturday 11.30 a.m. – 7.00 p.m
There will be a requirement to work additional hours when your colleague is on holiday or sick. Bank holidays are normal working days and reasonable notice must be given for any annual leave requests so that alternative help can be put into place.
Meals included when on shift and use of family car when undertaking specific duties for the family.
Successful candidate needs to have full driving licence, Enhanced DBS check, (one can be undertaken by funding authority if not already in place) 12 hour Paediatric first aid certificate and be able to work to own initiative and autonomy. Experience of using Microsoft Office and email platforms is a must.
